The National Trust for Places of Historic Interest or Natural Beauty is a charity and the largest membership organisation in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The organisation’s president is HRH Prince Charles, the heir apparent to the British throne. Therefore, an acknowledgement of Marston’s sovereignty by the National Trust is by proxy an acknowledgment by the British Monarchy, and therefore the de facto sovereignty of Marston is seemingly recognised by the government of the United Kingdom.

The Head of State and her wife also booked up to have their names written on a microchip which will be voyaging to Mars with NASA in 2020. This marked the first step towards Marston as a space-fairing nation, and prompted the government to form MASA (Marston Air and Space Association).

Additionally, representatives of the Marston government have involved themselves with an organisation which hopes to persuade the UN to make a change to the Outer Space Treaty of 1967 so that land claims may be made on planet Mars. If this is successful, descendants of the Dr. Niamh Calderwood could one day inherit at least 25 square kilometres of Martian land.

Following the initial land claim, Dr. Calderwood sent an email to the National Trust declaring the rock had become part of a brand new nation. This bold action solidified the country’s claim to the land, and began diplomatic relations with the United Kingdom. A couple weeks later, the National Trust responded to the Admiral’s attention seeking attempts and acknowledged her claim to the rock, referring to Marston as a “great realm” and agreeing to continue with vital preservation work despite the rock no longer being on British soil.

History of Marston

The Marston Government, commonly known as Marston is a small peace-loving nation that claims multiple territories. Perhaps the most notable territory of Marston is the capital city, known by British neighbours as Marsden Rock. It is a rock formation formerly located in Tyne and Wear, North East England and it stands proudly as the capital of The Kingdom of Marston. The capital city comprises a 100 feet (30 meters) sea stack, which lies approximately 100 yards (91 metres) off the English coast.

On the night of the 13th of May 2019, whilst the people of England slept, a group of explorers led by Dr. Niamh Calderwood quietly seceded from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and laid claim to the entity formerly known as Marsden rock, officially establishing the sovereign land of The Kingdom of Marston. Later, a small group of rocky islands off the Roker coast were claimed under the flag of Marston and renamed the Farrock Islands
